Providing Trusted Service For More Than 120 Years

The History of Glazier's

Five Generations of Family Tradition

For more than 120 years, Glazier Packing Company has proudly served customers throughout Northern New York and beyond. What began in 1903 as a small meat and grocery store founded by Howard A. Glazier in Owls Head, New York, has grown into a trusted foodservice distributor serving restaurants, schools, retail stores, delis, and convenience markets across the region.

The company's roots run deep in the Adirondack Mountains, where Howard A. Glazier built a reputation for quality products and dependable service. During the summer months, his son Albon made deliveries by horse and buggy to neighboring resorts before moving to Malone in 1918 and helping create what would become the famous Glazier Red Frankfurter. As the business grew, Glazier Packing Company expanded its manufacturing operations, acquired additional companies, and evolved into a full-line foodservice distributor in 1997.

Today, under the leadership of Shawn Glazier, the fifth generation to own and operate the company, Glazier Food Service remains committed to the values that have defined us for more than a century: quality products, dependable service, integrity, and treating our customers, suppliers, and employees like family.
